March 2008 The second hour of debate and vote on my Private Member's Bill C-484 (injuring or causing the death of an unborn child while committing an offence) was completed on Monday, March 3, 2008 and Wednesday, March 5, 2008. With those hurdles being passed, it now goes to the Justice and Human Rights Committee. This Committee will probably hear witnesses, scrutinize the Bill very closely, possibly amend it, and (hopefully) send it back to the House for 3rd reading. We will be working hard to make a compelling case for the Bill at that Committee.
